Summer's heatin' up! I love the summer time. Days are long, nights are balmy. At the end of my day I love to just sit in the shade and look at my world - the people, the water, the birds and animals. But staying cool is what makes it really enjoyable to sit and relax.
This summer, be sure you keep your kids cool too. Keep kids well-hydrated, make them take frequent breaks from playing outside, and watch for symptoms such as thirst, cramps, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headaches, and fever. Never leave a child or let her play in a hot car. And if you need a break from the kids, come to the Y! It's cool inside, there are fun things for your kids to do, and you can work off some of your stress.
