Resident Camp Overview
While at Camp Kekoka campers enjoy living in rustic cabins with 9 other campers grouped by age. Each cabin has 2 highly-trained adult counselors. During the daylight hours campers enjoy a well-rounded camp experience which includes traditional activities like swimming, arts and crafts, and archery as well as some unique activities like crabbing, fishing, tubing, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing.
Children today face a barrage of information which can be difficult to understand and deal with. YMCA Camp Kek oka helps to prepare young people for their future by engaging them in developing life skills. They learn to become leaders for the causes they believe in, to live sustainably, to care for our shared environment, and to live cooperatively in a culturally diverse community.
Resident Camp - 6 fun-filled weeks in 2013

Cost: $500 per camper
For boys and girls ages 9-15

- Session 1: June 30 - July 5, 2013
- Session 2: July 7 - 12, 2013
- Session 3: July 14 - 19, 2013
- Session 4: July 21 - 26, 2013
- Session 5: July 28 - August 2, 2013
- Session 6: August 4 - 9, 2013
Rite of Passage camp
July 3-5, 2013
Cost is $200 per camper
This camp is for 8 year-olds who want to test-out resident camp. For 3 days and 2 nights, campers experience the same activities offered during regular resident camp. The only difference is the amount of time they are away from home.

- Click here to download an application that you will mail to us (you will need Adobe Acrobat to download the PDF). Fill it out completely and take it with you to your nearest branch of the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA or call (804) 435-3616 and pay by phone with VISA or MasterCard.
- Make Payment one of 4 ways:
- Register your payment ONLINE for Camp Kekoka! Click here, then click on the words "Select branches/sites" and choose Camp Kekoka. If you have never registered for a YMCA program online you will be asked to create a log-in. Follow the instructions; if you have any problems, please contact the Northern Neck Family YMCA (804) 435-0223.
- Mail your check or credit card information to YMCA Camp Kekoka, P.O. Box 580, Kilmarnock, VA 22482.
- Fax your camper application with credit card information completed to (804) 435-2227.
- Take it with you to your nearest branch of the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA (see Branches tab for a list of locations).
- Please also download a health form. Fill it out completely and mail or fax with your application not later than June 1.

Kekoka Yoga Retreat - May 17-19, 2013

Music Festival - June 7-9, 2013
Cost: $25 per person
Let the sweet sounds of live music soothe your lyrical soul while you help give a kid the summer of a lifetime. Proceeds from the music festival help fund scholarships for kids to attend Camp Kekoka.
Tents, food vendors and merchandise kiosks enhanced the sun-kissed festival atmosphere. Families and kids played volleyball, soccer, cornhole and tossed beach balls 
and Frisbees as more and more festival-goers arrived
by sea and land.

Family camp - August 2-4, 2013
Cost $200.00 for family of four
Are you looking for a place to spend quality time with your family? Look no more! Join us for family camp at YMCA Camp Kekoka this summer! Families can either stay in one of our cabins or pitch their own tent.
Your family enjoys a weekend full of awesome activities like tubing, wind surfing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, crabbing, kickball, pool time, and much more!
All of this for only $200! This price includes 2 nights lodging, 4 meals (Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast) and all activities for a family of 4. There is a $25 extra charge for each additional family member.
