Victory Family YMCA Donors

The YMCA's mission compels us to make membership and program services available to ALL that want to belong and participate. Each year we raise funds through our annual charitable giving campaign called "Strong Communities." Funds raised through special events and donations provide opportunities for families and individuals to afford programs and services that they need and deserve, but simply can't afford.

In 2009 a total of $75,868 was donated to the Victory Family YMCA. $748,245 was distributed to individuals and families who wanted to participate in our programs but needed financial assistance to do so.

When individuals and businesses work together and help each other, the entire community is better off - there is more safety, less violence, and a greater sense of belonging and togetherness.

"In 2004 I was in a car accident that left me with a severe traumatic brain injury. I had to learn to walk and talk all over again. It was so difficult; I felt embarrassed and my self esteem plummeted.
I began working out at the YMCA as an extension of my physical therapy. I found support, friendship and encouragement there. Now I have a healthy and fulfilling life and am working at the YMCA where they offer me opportunities to develop my skills and find new interests.

The YMCA gave me back the ability to love my life and work again. "- Chris

"The YMCA is a godsend to me and my family. I am glad to know that the YMCA us here to assist us, and other families who are experiencing the economic crisis. Bright Beginnings lifts a burden off of my shoulders because I know that my children will start the school year off right and have everything they need to confidently put their best foot forward. Thank you for everything you do, we appreciate you." - Joan
