blast off

April 28-30, 2017

This weekend is a “blast” and suited for fathers and sons who have an interest in the science of rockets.  Fathers and sons learn about and build their own model rocket over the course of the weekend and, ultimately, enjoy the thrill of the launch at the end of the weekend.  Each father-son rocket is launched one at a time.  Rockets are retrieved and taken home as a keepsake with everything needed to launch it again.

Spending time away from home is a great way to strengthen the bond between fathers and sons and Camp Kekoka is a beautiful setting and the perfect place to spend quality time together. Let us take care of all the meals and coordinating so all you have to do is enjoy each other.

You can choose to bunk in one of our new cabins with other father son pairs, or bring your tent and camp on our lawn.

Cost: $235 per father son together.  This fee covers lodging, 4 meals, 1 model rocket, launch pad, & electric start that you can take home. Each additional son is $25 and each additional rocket for each additional son is $35.

Ages: Sons ages 9 – 15

“I entered camp on Friday feeling excited about the weekend ahead and with a longing to be filled with peace, joy, love and acceptance from the practice and the wonderful people participating. I left Sunday with new knowledge, along with deeper relationships that began last year, and new friendships that will carry through this year and years to come.” – Katie West
