The Fort Monroe YMCA is located in an historic antebellum building, built in 1903, and was once a home of the first Armed Services YMCA in the Country, established in 1889. The YMCA is proud to restore the YMCA in Fort Monroe as part of the revitalization of this community.

What's Happening at the Y
Freezin’ at the Fort Holiday Plunge!
Brave participants of all ages will plunge into the frigid waters of the Chesapeake Bay to raise money for the YMCA Guardian Program, a scholarship fund which ensures all children get to experience Summer Camp at Fort Monroe regardless of the family’s financial situation. What better way to celebrate the holiday season and get into the spirit of giving than by taking the plunge to give a child a week or two at Summer Camp!
