Our YMCA began in 1980 with the commitment of Hampton residents and city leaders. The Hampton Family YMCA provides a safe, family-oriented environment, and a gathering place for thousands of kids, families, seniors and individuals. With the ever-changing need of the community, our YMCA continues to improve the lives of all residents in Hampton and surrounding areas.
Be a part of #GivingTuesday as we celebrate this global day of giving back, celebrating generosity and kindness.
What's Happening at the Y
Please help the Hampton Family YMCA feed the less fortunate in our local community by donating to our annual Thanksgiving food drive.
Our goal this year is to serve local families with boxes of food containing items for a great holiday dinner.
Consider giving your support to these families by donating food items such as:
- Canned vegetables (peas, green beans, corn, baked beans, potatoes, yams)
- Canned fruit (pears, fruit cocktail, peaches, pineapple)
- Canned chicken broth
- Boxed stuffing
- Bag of sugar
- Muffin mixes (corn bread, blueberry)
- Canned gravy (turkey or chicken)
- Macaroni and cheese
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Bisquick or store brand baking mix
- Canned evaporated milk
- Ramen noodles
- Peanut butter
$10 to $20 gift cards to a local grocery store for turkeys are also needed!
SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE
The YMCA School-Age program provides an environment where children can easily make friends, be part of a group, meet physical challenges, and know that they are liked, respected and appreciated. Our program offers youth the opportunity to have fun while learning healthy living through 5210 and science, technology, engineering and math through S.T.E.M. reading and arts activities.Learn More »
