Our YMCA began in 1980 with the commitment of Hampton residents and city leaders. The Hampton Family YMCA provides a safe, family-oriented environment, and a gathering place for thousands of kids, families, seniors and individuals. With the ever-changing need of the community, our YMCA continues to improve the lives of all residents in Hampton and surrounding areas.

The YMCA School-Age program provides an environment where children can easily make friends, be part of a group, meet physical challenges, and know that they are liked, respected and appreciated.

Hours of Operation:

The YMCA School-Age program is available 6:00 AM to school opening and school dismissal to 6:00 PM. Transportation to school in the morning and the YMCA in the afternoon is available.

We are open from the first day of school until the last day of school. Programs are provided on most school holidays, winter and spring break, and inclement weather days (check your school calendar for school closings). Additional fees apply.

Eligibility:

Hampton City School students born between September 2, 2003 and September 2, 2010 are eligible for the program. We serve many Hampton City Schools, but not all, please refer to the list below for schools we serve.

Pricing for Members:

Before School: $31
After School: $49
Before and After School: $71           

Pricing for Program Participants:

Before School: $40
After School: $62
Before and After School: $90

Our pricing is based on a child’s attendance for the school-year. We are unable to accommodate weekly or drop-in attendees. Payments are made weekly no later than the Friday before the next week starts. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) will be set-up when you register to be automatically withdrawn from your account/credit/debit card either weekly or monthly.

Program Registration:

Register in person at the Hampton Family YMCA by appointment. Appointments are scheduled with the Welcome Center. Registration is open until the program is full.

Please bring with you:

Payment for the first week and $40 registration fee (per child)

Copy of your child’s school physical

Copy of your child’s shot record

Original birth certificate

Due to our licensing requirements, incomplete registrations cannot be processed. Registrations need to be complete by Thursday at 5:30 pm in order for your child to begin the following week.
