What's Happening at the Y

Annual Giving

Welcome to the Y—the place where we feed hungry kids so they can learn, grow and thrive; the place where we take kids back to school shopping so they can start the new school year with pride and confidence; the place where we provide after school enrichment to enhance academic skills and build character; the place where teens learn to craft value-based decisions and make constructive contributions to our community; and, the place where adults maintain (or regain) their stamina and strength for an improved quality of life.  The Y is so much more than a place.  We’re a cause dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

The Mathews Family YMCA provides over $3100 in financial assistance EACH MONTH to local youth, adults and families.  We have already provided 101 MORE scholarships this year than we did last year. (521 in 2013 and 622 in 2014, through August 2014)  Our community faces challenges that create a greater need for the work we do.  Fortunately, where some see obstacles, we see opportunities.  Opportunities for people like you to make a difference.

That’s why we are asking you to donate to our annual giving campaign. Every gift makes a difference.  Together, we can achieve so much more.
