Pre-K

Pre-K childrenPre-Kindergarten

The YMCA wants children to be well-prepared and successful when they begin Kindergarten, so our Pre-K program sets them up for success by aligning the skills and concepts children learn with everything they’ll need to enter school. Teachers and aides work with our children to lengthen attention spans, bolster social skills, and build literacy, math and phonemic skills. Of course four-year-old children still learn through play so the day is filled with stories, puppet shows, music, movement, outdoor play and center time.
