9-Slusser-JenkinsBonnie Slusser made her debut in the Northern Neck when she and her husband, John, moved their family to Warsaw in 1980. She spent her early years in Warsaw doing her best to corral their three young children, Jeffrey, Mickey, and Katie. When her youngest went off to kindergarten she made her return to teaching at Richmond County Elementary School, where she taught from 1988-2015, in the same grade, in the same classroom, next door to the same friend for all those years! She has been a member of the YMCA since its doors opened, serving on their very first Board of Directors and serving a second term since that time. She has remained committed to the community and the mission of the YMCA. She is an active member of Warsaw United Methodist Church and the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for women educators. Since her retirement, she has enjoyed spending time with family and friends doing her best to corral her two grandchildren, Jack and Henry.
