Janet Hinman and Michael Faulkner
Janet Evans Hinman is an editor and staff writer for The House and Home Magazine. A former newspaper reporter and corporate communications professional, she is married, with two grown sons. After many years of managing home and family, she moved from Atlanta to Tappahannock in 2012. An avid tennis player, Ms. Hinman also enjoys all genres of dance, music and literature. She once appeared as a contestant on the 1980s television show Dance Fever, and later covered political beats as a reporter in Washington, D.C. and Richmond. She was on assignment at the U.S. Capitol offices the day President Reagan was shot and wounded by John Hinkley, Jr. Today, she eagerly awaits her dream job of “Crazy Old Lady in a Funny Hat,” with duties to include cooking, gardening, and spoiling her future “very well-behaved” grandchildren.
A native New Yorker, Michael Faulkner has been residing in Essex County, VA for the past fifteen years. Michael currently serves as the Executive Director for the Ledwith-Lewis Free Clinic, is a well-known International Dog Show Judge, and award-winning writer. Michael is also member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Tappahannock Rotary Club.
