Be Active While You Age

Not sure where to start when it comes to exercise? Be Active While You Age is for the older health seeker who wants to learn the basics when it comes to exercise, or for the active older health seeker who just wants a refresher! Over the 6-week period, this lecture-based class discusses the four areas necessary for staying active and independent: endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. Exercise won’t be the only thing discussed in this class: participants also learn about nutrition and action plans and have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with other members within our Y community. The information provided in this class comes from the National Institute on Aging. All participants receive “Exercise: A Guide Grom the National Institute on Aging.”
