Teen Programs
Kids and teenagers find the YMCA a place where they can have fun, spend time with friends, learn new things and be themselves. Many locations have rooms dedicated to hosting the activities youth and teens enjoy most. Activities include sports, organized games, cool activities that youth and teens can relate to, computer labs and homework help after school. Other offerings include: Parent's Night Out, teen centers, counselor and leadership training camps, youth strength training, Teen Leaders Club, and volunteer opportunities.
After School Teen Club
Designed for Middle School Teens, the After School Teen Club includes a variety of activities geared specifically to teens: activities may include swimming, games, fitness and crafts. Teens also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through community service and character development discussion and activities.

Teen Leaders' Club
The Teen Leaders' Club was established to give teens the opportunity to provide volunteer service to the community. Leaders' Club is organized for the purpose of providing each member with the knowledge and training to help serve others while shaping a healthy lifestyle for themselves. Teens must contact a Program Director for an application and registration.

Teen Volunteers
Volunteer at the YMCA and help lead children in games, crafts and sports. Teens between the ages of 16 and 18 can volunteer in our Child Watch center and help supervise children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. They can also volunteer in our Youth Watch center and help supervise children ages 6-12 years.

Teen Open Basketball
This member service is for teens looking to play basketball and have fun. Teens can participate in pick-up games, shoot hoops and have some fun.

Teen Nights
Come spend a supervised evening of fun and excitement. Activities such as basketball, volleyball and swimming are available for your enjoyment. See branch for more details.

Teen Cooking
In this six-week program, teens prepare a weekly meal which they then enjoy eating. This program teaches teens about healthy cooking, cooking measurements, dining etiquette, etc. The objective of this program is for teens to take with them learning tools for everyday life.

Teen Summer Camp
Ready to break away from the traditional camp setting? This program gives teens opportunities to have fun and make new friends. Teens are encouraged to develop their social, teamwork and leadership skills through active participation in community service projects, character development discussions, field trips, games, swimming and more while enhancing their self-esteem and confidence. This program is held in one-week sessions during the summer.

Campers in Leadership Training
This camp is offered in three-week sessions. Teens must apply and interview for a position in the camp. Designed for teens that already possess social and teambuilding skills, this camp focuses on opportunities for teens to gain leadership training and development. Teens are challenged to reach their highest potential through service projects, character development discussions, childcare training and leading children in traditional camp activities. Teens are involved in weekly field trips, swimming & fitness activities. There is a minimum number required to run this program. The camper must be able to attend the entire three-week session.
