For 20 years, the Festival of the Trees has been the highlight of the holiday season in the Northern Neck. This three-day extravaganza will be held November 29-December 1 at the Northern Neck Family YMCA. With more than 500 patrons attending the three-day long affair, this is the Northern Neck Family YMCA’s largest fundraising event of the year. The Festival of the Trees inspires attendees to “deck their homes” with unique holiday decorating and gift-giving ideas. The community’s generosity during this event ensures the vitality of our Guardian Program. This important program helps the Y fulfill its mission to provide a wide range of programs and activities for children and families within our local community who could not otherwise afford them.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE & SILENT AUCTION KICKOFF
Thursday, November 29, 6-8pm
Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Festival of the Trees with refreshments and entertainment! Santa will be here, straight from the North Pole and photos with him are available courtesy of Yours Truly Photography. Special performances include children from Linda’s School of Dance and Chesapeake Academy! All attendees are invited to enter a drawing to win four tickets to Christmas Town, Busch Gardens! This event is free and open to the public.

OPEN HOUSE
Friday, November 30, 9am-1pm
Come walk through a winter wonderland and preview our silent auction. Our silent auction will close Saturday evening December 2. Winners do not have to be present to win. All bidding is online and accessible through your mobile phone or PC. This open house is free and open to the public.

GALA & AUCTION FINALE
Saturday, December 1, 6-9pm
Featuring “Tastes of the Northern Neck,” a beautiful assortment of local cuisine and champagne, fine wines, and ales. Join the fun by raising your paddle and bidding on our live auction items. Experience the excitement as our Silent Auction ends.

Gala tickets are $50 and may be purchased online here. Don’t delay, tickets are very limited. Sales prior to November 22 receive a $50 gift certificate from Burkes Fine Jeweler’s, one per household.

Preview our live auction and bid on silent auction items starting at midnight Black Friday, November 23. You do not need to be present at the gala to bid on silent auction items, but you must be registered for online bidding.

KIDS NIGHT OUT
Saturday, December 1, 5:30-9:30pm
A special offer for ticket-holders to the Gala, Kids Night Out! Children can have an exciting night at the Y too, for no additional cost. This fun evening takes place at our child care center and includes holiday crafts, swimming, dinner and a movie. Please RSVP by November 22 to mary.posey@peninsulaymca.org.

The Middlesex Kiwanis and the YMCA present the 2019 Mardi Gras to benefit our youth through:

Kiwanis Education Fund

Each year the Middlesex Kiwanis Club working with the staff of Middlesex Schools, supports education through school program support, MHS scholarships, and childhood nutrition programs. Scholarships are awarded based on Financial Need, Academic Achievement, and Community Service. Serving the Children of the World.

YMCA Guardian Program

Through the Y’s Annual Campaign, the Guardian Program offers every family and child opportunity, regardless of income or circumstance. Giving scholarships, the Y helps hundreds of youth grow in values, discipline, and direction through a wide range of programming. Give for a better Us.

Reserved table for eight, designated seating, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and dancing.

Individual Tickets – $85

Platinum Sponsor – $1,250

Front row reserved table for eight, thirty-two drink tickets, concierge table service, goodie packet, and program recognition.  Tax deductible portion is $930.

Gold Sponsor – $1,000  

Reserved table for eight with preferred seating, twenty-four drink tickets, goodie packet, and program recognition. Tax deductible portion is $680.

King & Queen Sponsor – $1,000  

Premier signage, Royal Announcement by the King & Queen, and program printing.

Second Line Children’s Sponsor – $750

In true New Orleans fashion, sponsor the children’s portion of the evening with recognition from our littlest of guests.

Band Sponsor – $750

Signage on stage, announcement, and printed in the program.

Flying Krewe Sponsor – $500

Signage on Krewe Table, sponsorship announcement, and printed recognition.  Provides a table for volunteers.
