YMCA Camp Kekoka, like all Y programs, depends on the support of volunteers’ time, talent and donations to meet our mission. Please compare┬áthe list of opportunities below to your special talents and consider spending your volunteer time with us at Camp Kekoka.


Work Days:

  • Two weekends, (set in April & May) for volunteers to come out for painting, cleaning, setting up boats, etc. to prepare camp for the summer season
  • Volunteers are welcome anytime during the week, April-May, to paint or clean

Administrative Help:

  • Place phone calls to participants
  • Track-down forms from participants
  • Filing
  • Data entry

Kekoka Yoga Retreat:

  • Kitchen Help – clean, serve, etc.
  • Take pictures
  • Sailing instruction
  • Windsurfing instruction

Kekoka Music Festival:

  • Set-up
  • Clean-up Parking
  • Water-front coverage
  • Will-Call
  • Stage set-up between musicians
  • Facility up-keep during the festival


  • Help maintain the camp garden
  • Garden instruction with campers

Camp Time:

  • Boat drivers (must have captain’s license, complete training, and be approved by director)
  • Sailing instruction
  • Windsurfing instruction
  • Kitchen help


Please know that, if you will be volunteering during the time when campers are present, for your safety and the campers’ safety, you will be required to complete a criminal records check.

If you don’t have the time to volunteer, please consider making a contribution. All donations are tax-deductible. Monetary donations ensure that no child is turned away for the inability to pay.

  • Donate new or gently used life jackets, kayak paddles, fishing poles, etc. to camp
  • Monetary donations are always accepted
