SUSAN ELLIOTT AND DOC DUGAN
Susan Elliott is an employee of the National Park Service in Westmoreland County at George Washington’s Birthplace National Monument. She is the loving mother of 3 cats and looks in on her 2 elderly parents on a regular basis. She has been a resident of the Northern Neck since 1999. Susan enjoys dancing and laughing every chance she gets, mostly at herself. Susan never lets the grass grow under her feet. Some of Susan’s friends describe her as a gypsy, but Susan prefers to be thought of as a free spirit. She has been active in charitable organizations for most of her life and thoroughly enjoys helping others. Susan jumps for joy at the opportunity to serve her local area communities and to perform in this YMCA event with the charismatic and charming Doc Dugan.
Doc Dugan was born in the small town of Catonsville, Maryland on July 13, 1933. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1957, married in June 1957, became a Naval Aviator, flight instructor, spent 22 years in the Destroyer Navy, commanded a Destroyer and a naval Communications Station in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Doc completed 26 1/2 years of Naval Service in 1984, retiring as a Captain. He and his wife, Bobbie, moved to the Northern Neck in 1995, purchased the Left Bank Gallery, an art and custom framing business in Hague, VA, which he still operates while Bobbie has worked for 7 years as a fitness Coach for the Richmond County Family YMCA. Doc has 6 beautiful children (3 and 3) and 20 grandchildren. Bobbie has 3 beautiful children (1 boy), 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Doc danced with Nicole Clark in last year’s “Stars” and had a blast!
