Before and After School Child Care

The YMCA before and after school program is a great way for kids to start and end the day.

Whether you need before school, after school, or both, the Y provides a safe place for kids to spend time with other kids so their parents can work without worrying. Some of our programs are held at local schools, but for those held at the Y; we provide transportation to and from the Y to your child’s school.

YMCA counselors are all CPR certified and receive specialized training so they know ‘the Y way’ of providing the quality child care children deserve and parents expect. The YMCA before and after school programs provide an environment where children can easily make friends, be part of a group, meet physical challenges, and know they are liked, respected and appreciated. Please download a copy of our School-Age Parent Handbook.

Children in the YMCA before and after school programs enjoy:

HTG Girl Jumping Rope  HEALTH

Solutions to childhood obesity, lack of physical activity and food insecurity require difficult lifestyle changes. Teaching healthy habits is at the heart of how the Y supports the development of healthy lifestyle choices.

HTG Beaker

The YMCA enrichment plan is designed to weave reading together with fun activities in a seamless manner so that children work on improving their reading skills without realizing the underlying intent of the activity.

HTG Life Preserver  WATER SAFETY

Water accidents are a leading cause of serious injury for kids.

HTG Children Circle  SAFE SPACES

Outside of school, youth don’t always have a safe place to play. The Y provides that space.

You must bring payment for the first week and a $40 non-refundable registration fee (per child), as well as a copy of your child’s school physical, shot record, and original birth certificate.  Licensing requires complete registrations. For your convenience, download a copy of the registration form to fill out and bring with you to register at the YMCA.

Weekly Fees

Fees vary by location, please check with your local Y. Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is the YMCA’s preferred method of payment; fees are automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account either weekly or monthly, per your request. Financial assistance is available for those not able to pay the full amount; please ask about the Guardian Program.

Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
